WOW! its been a long time since i wrote anything here....sorry about that guys. I have actually been kinda busy this quarter...welll let's see what has happen...oh man! so much i can't even remember it all. well the sun came out and the heat came. that resulted in lots of tanning and beach trips. i am in a water aerobics class that is outside in the pool twice a week. not much of a workout but still really fun to be in the water! hmmm what else is new.....well i am officially going back to Walla Walla next year. I am so excited to go back. i miss that place and the people a lot! i do not regret coming to PUC, I have grow a lot here but i do not want to come back.
Well it is almost the weekend here and a holiday weekend at that! I can't believe it is already memorial weekend. Most of my friends are coming back to me really soon and that is exciting...even though i won't get to see them for awhile. Well other than finishing projects for spanish class and writing book reports for History...not a lot is going on with me. heheh at least that i won't to write in a blog ;)....hehehe....
well i am sorry that i fail at keeping you all up to date on my life or that i don't really have much to write about. but i love you all and miss you and hope to see you all really soon!

So i guess i should update you all on my exciting life! Well i will keep it short but yes last weekend my car died..... but i will start from the beginning. Last weekend i went home and Drew also came to my house. It was really fun! Not only did we just go bowling with my crazy family but we also did laser tag! so much fun! the weekend turned out to be really fun until sunday night. It had been raining all weekend and the roads were really slick. Plus i didn't want to drive so i asked Drew to drive my car. well we were about an hour away from PUC and a corner came up on us a little soon for how fast we were going and we kinda slid off the road and hit a small cement wall. Thankfully neither of us were hurt (other than a few bruises that is)! But my car was pretty beaten up. We had it towed to Rio Lindo and Stephanie came and picked us up. I was pretty shaken up after the whole thing but I after a few days i am good! i got a pretty nice rental car for a few days. It is very nice to drive and there are a lot of pretty cool compartments to look in! well that is my exciting story and all i can say after this experience is God was definitely with us because it could have been so much worse.

Sorry for the delay...

So i know it has been forever since i last wrote. Sorry about that guys! So I am sitting in a hotel in Monterey, CA just relaxing. Not a lot has really happened since last time I wrote but a few things. It is a long weekend at PUC, meaning we didn't have any classes today(Friday) and Steph took me to Monterey for my late Birthday present. The first thing that has really happened is I killed my hard-drive on my computer and had to send it with my parents to get a new (bigger) hard-drive and have it fixed. It was very annoying to not have a computer! But I did survive. This quarter has been good so far though cuz Drew and now Ricky are in the PUC area. I missed them a lot and am very happy to have them to hang out with again! I am also meeting some cool new people which is always fun! Hmmm...let me see what else has happened? Oh yeah! I am now 20 years old! No longer a teenager! Yahoooo!!! Haha but it doesn't really feel that different. I did have a good birthday though. My parents came down saturday (the day before my birthday) and took a group of my friends out to eat at this really good Italian restaurant then we wondered over to the mall and looked around till it closed. After the mall closed we decided to go watch a movie but when we got to the theater all the movies were either starting at 10 pm or had already started so we headed for my parent's hotel in napa to just hang out. Little did i know that this "hanging out" would be keep Lizi off the bed or just tickle her! My bruises are starting to go away from the ambush! :) I feel asleep on the way back to PUC and was so asleep that I didn't really care when it turned midnight and officially my birthday. After dropping the boys off at their dorm Steph and I headed to out dorm and I went straight to bed. But some people (Ricky and Drew) decided it would be fun to wake up the birthday girl at an insanely early hour...like 2:30 am just to wish her happy birthday when she was asleep. So that was fun! Hahaha.....after getting a decent amount of sleep I woke up and got all the guys (and steph) in the car and headed down the hill to meet my parents for brunch in St. Helena. It was really fun at brunch! Then after brunch we walked over to the park and i got cake and presents. My mom made me a vegan cake! for those of you who don't know i am lactose intolerant and it was super cool that she made me a cake that i could eat and not get sick! She also brought a regular cake and as you can imagine we had leftovers! 2 cakes for 8 people! Now my birthday was on Superbowl Sunday so of course we had to take the guys back up the hill in time to watch the Superbowl! After dropping them off Steph and I headed down the hill once more to Santa Rosa to do some shopping with my parents. I bought new jeans which i desperately needed! After my parents left to head home I met up with Drew and Ricky and we watched a movie on my fixed computer! Overall this was a good, chill birthday! I still can't believe I am 20 but it is nice!
Yeah not a lot has really happened...but don't worry I will let you all know if something does happen! I miss everyone who is not with me greatly! I wish we could all be together again! I love you all and hope to see you soon!

The reason why I am not a fan of snow & ice.

So first off let me apologize that I haven’t written in a long time but as we all know college can get pretty busy. I can’t believe I am already done with my first quarter at PUC. I am glad to be done with most of my classes! Ahhah… and what better way to celebrate the end of a quarter then by taking a little adventure. Well it all started when Drew told me that he was going to PUC next quarter but didn’t have a way to get his stuff there. So me being the nice friend I am told him I would drive up to Walla Walla and get his stuff and take him home as well. The plan was working out perfect but I forgot about the fact that it was winter and the weather is not nice this time of year. But Stephanie and I headed off the hill and drove her car to Rio Lindo (Drew and Ricky would drive it to southern California so I didn’t have to drive that far). After dropping her car off, Steph and I headed to Monterey to just hang out and relax. It was so nice to do nothing but sleep in and chill. We went to this cute little Italian restaurant one night and then the next day wondered around cannery row and did some Christmas shopping.

On Saturday we headed to MBA to pick up Ricky. We got there early morning and headed to the beach while we waited for him to be done with church. Now the beach was beautiful but so COLD and really windy. After he was done we headed north, but the weather was really bad that I-5 at Grants Pass was closed so we ended up driving to 101 and staying at my house for the night. We slept in the next morning to make sure the road would be open and we ended up driving up 101 all the way to the cut over to Eugene, OR. It was so amazingly beautiful driving right next to the ocean. Huge waves and snow on the coast…. weirdest sight ever. And of course I drove in the snow where the guy 2 cars in front of me got stuck in the snow… when we finally got on the 5 we were doing good till the sign above the highway said “Chains required for Portland metropolitan area” now thankfully we had chains so we pulled over to the side of the road and went out in the freezing weather and put the chains on.

We were making time even though we could only got 25 mph because of the chains and then all the sudden we hear a weird clicking noise. So of course we pulled over and checked it out and one of the chains had broken. But we didn’t really have much of a choice so we kept driving. We drove all over town trying to find new chains. No chains ANYWHERE!!!!! Well we had reserved a hotel by the airport that was about 10 minutes away so we decided to just drive on. On the way there 2 more chains broke but we made it to the hotel. It was nice to just relax after driving 10 hours that day. We started watching Harry Potter and Steph fell asleep after 30 minutes but I made it almost all the way through but fell asleep also (ahh I am sure you wanted to know every little detail) well the next morning we decided to press on an make it to Walla Walla by that night. Even though the road had been closed the night before the sun had come out and melted some of the ice on the road. The road was icy so the trip was slow but we finally made it that night. It was crazy to see all the cars and trucks on the side of the road that had slid off the road. I was so happy to make it WWU and see everyone. Even though we were there right during finals week it was still nice to see everyone. But unfortunately we had to leave the next morning because another storm was coming in and we had to make it through the Gorge before then so we left pretty much the minute Drew was done with his last final (10:30 am).

No the road trip was fun with 4 people but my car was not big enough for 4 people and all the stuff that Drew had plus our stuff. So we packed the car full and Drew ended up having to send 2 boxes of stuff home. The backseat was packed and half the backseat was full of stuff. And of course me having the shortest legs got stuck in the middle back seat was I got to be super close to Ricky for 10 hours. Now it might seem cozy but after that many hours my hips were hurting so bad. It was very crammed. Pretty much the only person who had room was the driver.

We finally made it home at about 12 am. It was so nice to be home. When we were home we just hung out and I got the privilege to show the boys the lovely town of Eureka, CA. We went to the beach and explored old town and of course I got to cook for them and we made a pie. Pretty much it was a party. I am very happy and grateful that we made it up there to Walla Walla and safely back to California.

On Friday morning we left at 6:30 for Rio where I could barely stay awake and I was driving! But we made it and saw the boys off.

I miss them already and will see them soon! Overall this was an adventure. No other word can describe it. But I do not recommend trying this trip in the middle of the worst winter storms in years! And I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2009!

Life is far too short...

Life is too short. This phrase is almost over used but how often do we actually stop to think that seriously life is too short. As my religion teacher said this morning during class. 20 is too young to die, even 60 is too young to die. The point is no one wants to die and even more importantly no one wants their loved ones or friends to be tragically taken from them without even having the chance to tell them how much they are loved. How often do we take the time to say I love you or even I am glad that you are friend? I know personally I sound sappy if I constantly tell my friends I love them and appreciate how they are always there for me. But why is that? Has western culture shaped us so much that we feel dumb telling someone we care about them? Why is it so hard to say how we really feel? Now you might wonder what has got me thinking? Well this last Saturday night 4 PUC students we killed going down the hill to Safeway. The same trip I took only 3 hours before. I did not know any of the guys personally; I didn’t even really know anybody who was close to them. But this tragedy has got me thinking that life is really too short and we must live our life concerned and companionate for people not only cuz our life is too short but those around us might have an even shorter life. Now I want to tell all my friends at one time that I love them all so much. I wish that all of you were here with me right now but I am proud that you are doing what God has planned for you. I appreciate you guys for always being there for me even if you are not physically with me. Thank you so much I don’t know what I would do without each and every one of you!

A weekend of firsts.

So sorry it has been so long since I have updated you all on my life. When I last talked to you all I had lost my keys and I was worried about them. Well I found them, or should I say my dad found them because they were in his suit jacket. So I know have my keys, but pretty much the week after I found them my nutrition textbook showed up missing. I still haven't found it but I bought a new one online for real cheap so that was nice. Then after the whole lost book incident I lost my ID card (which i have never done before i still have my ID card from Walla Walla) and i ahd to pay $14 to get a new one. So that is my lovely tale about my luck with losing things!

Moving on to more exciting stuff! This weekend was definitely a weekend of first experiences. It was the first time I have driven by myself through crazy bay areas traffic (during rush hour to make it more exciting ;)). If you are wondering why I was driving by myself...its because I went down to MBA this weekend to go camping on the beach with my friend Ricky. Yeah we had been planning this trip for awhile and I was really excited about sleeping on the beach! It sounded really fun and I really was looking forward to being a beach bum for a weekend. Well unfortunatly the weather didn't think this was such a great idea so it rained. All weekend! So my beach camping was changed to sleeping the backseat of my car with our feet in the trunk. It was actually very comfortable i might add. So that was
my first experience sleeping in the backseat/trunk of my car.
Doesn't that look so comfy?

It was amazing to sleep in the car because we were parked right next to the ocean and i feel asleep and woke up to the drown of the ocean waves. It was such a peaceful sound and i could have listened to it all night.
On Friday night we went to Santa Cruz and just walked to streets. But the catch was it was Halloween which ment the streets were packed with people dressed up in costumes ranging from the generic halloween costumes to some you had to ask what the heck were they thinking. it was fun though to just walk and not really have an adjenda.
On saturday we went to Santa Cruz Boardwalk and just walked all around and of course played in the water. And under the boardwalk there were all these sea lions which were just hanging out under the peir on the support beams right above the water. Needless to say a lot of pictures were taken of this attraction...hehe....

SEA LIONSSSSS!!!!!!!!

I am the only one who looks really wet here!

Beautiful, wet Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk.

but yeah it was very wet and even more windy on the boardwalk but i am just glad i brought a water proff jacket with me. Otherwise i would have been very wet!
This is what happens when you have a camera in a car.
The view from the car.
I could stand up in the backseat!

The weekend was very fun and i am wishing i could go back to the beach already. But i am now back at lovely little PUC where it is college days this weekend so there will be a lot of little high schoolers wandering the campus. But other than my exciting weekend that did not go as planned but went even better not a lot has been going on with me. Classes are ok. Still meeting people, but over all its good. I miss all my friends a lot but i am glad they are doing good.
I love you all and miss you!
